The MELINDA website is a project of the Radboudumc. The intellectual property of the information on this website belongs to the Radboudumc. 

You may quote or copy information on this website provided that appropriate acknowledgment is in place (i.e., reference to website content). The Radboudumc may withdraw this permission if it believes that legitimate interests of the Radboudumc or third parties are being violated. It is not permitted to use (parts of) the data on the website for commercial purposes. The Radboudumc also explicitly does not give permission to copy or distribute the information on the website in full or large parts, or to integrate information into other websites or applications. 

Privacy statement
1.   GENERAL
The Radboudumc is responsible for the personal data that are collected (via the contact form on the MELINDA website and by emailing us).
The Radboudumc is located in Nijmegen, Geert Grooteplein Zuid 10, 6525 GA and registered in the register of The Dutch Chamber of Commerce, number 41055629.
The MELINDA website provides modeling and simulation data that is generated to support drug dosing guidelines in pediatric and pregnant patients. It aims to disseminate this knowledge and thereby contribute to safe and effective pharmacotherapy in these special populations.
The website is a collection of scientifically sound model-informed dosing reports on drugs used by pediatric and pregnant patients. The website consists of a database and an ICT structure and software applications that control the database.
Visitors of the MELINDA website must be able to trust that the Radboudumc handles collected personal data safely and with care. The Radboudumc is aware of this and ensures that privacy is guaranteed through measures concerning information security, data minimization and transparency (amongst other measures).
In this privacy statement we describe the type of personal data we collect, for what purposes, how we handle this personal data and what rights you have in that context.

2. PERSONAL DATA, PURPOSES AND BASIS OF PROCESSING
2.1 General
Personal data is any data that can identify a natural person (directly or indirectly). You provide personal data to the Radboudumc by completing the contact form (with comment, request, question or problem) on this website, or by contacting us by e-mail.
We collect the following personal data via the contact form of the MELINDA website:
-        Name: first name, middle name(s), surname
-        Data for communication: e-mail addresses
We may use your IP address to diagnose problems with our server and for website management. An IP address is a numeric code that identifies your computer on a network or the internet.
2.2 Purposes of data processing
The Radboudumc collects and processes personal data exclusively for the following purposes:
-        For website administration, for the purpose of evaluating the achievement of objectives.
-        Handling and answering your questions regarding the MELINDA website.
-        To maintain contact with website visitors and owners of the MELINDA website.
-        To maintain, improve and secure the MELINDA website.
-        For historical, statistical and archival purposes.
We do not use your personal data for any purposes other than those described in this Privacy Statement. We will never sell your personal data.
2.3  Principles of data processing
The Radboudumc guarantees that your personal data will only be processed on lawful grounds, including:
-        The processing of your personal data by the Radboudumc is necessary in order to answer your questions regarding the MELINDA website.
-        The Radboudumc also processes your data with a view to the legitimate interests of the Radboudumc and third parties. These legitimate interests must in any case concern personal data processing necessary to achieve the objectives of the MELINDA website.
If the Radboudumc will use your personal data for purposes other than those stated here, this will only occur upon your explicit consent.
The Radboudumc does not use automated decision-making that is based on personal data or is achieved through the use of profiling.

3.   WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE PERSONAL DATA?
Your personal data may be shared with the ICT company that technically develops and maintains the database and MELINDA website in order to improve the MELINDA website. Personal data will only be processed for the benefit of the website and not for any other purpose. If the Radboudumc engages data processors, there will always be a processing agreement in place to ensure that the data will be processed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and that the owners of the MELINDA website can provide instructions to the processor in this regard.
We do not provide your data to (legal) persons outside the European Economic Area.    

4.   DATA RETENTION PERIOD
Your personal data will not be stored for longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and processed or for as long as Radboudumc is required by law. Financial data are stored for the tax period of seven years and then destroyed.

5. SECURITY OF PERSONAL DATA
The Radboudumc takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss or another form of unlawful processing, in line with applicable legal requirements and guidelines.
Our servers and databases are protected by security technology that is fully up to date when it comes to technological standards.
Within the Radboudumc, your personal data can only be used by employees who need to have access to it given their position.

6. YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to request the Radboudumc:
-        to provide access to your personal data (name and email address)
-        to have all of your personal data (name and email address) supplemented, corrected or (entirely or partly) deleted and/or
-        to pass on your personal data to you or to a third party
If the Radboudumc processes your personal data on the basis of your consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. However, processing of your personal data is necessary in order to provide certain services to you.
You also have the right to object to certain types of data processing by the Radboudumc.
We will appraise your request in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) and provide you with information about the actions we have taken in response to your request or objection as soon as possible, but in any case within one month of receiving your request. We can extend this period by two months if the complexity of your request or the number of requests we receive gives reason to do so. We will inform you in that case.
Finally, you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority at any time.

7. COOKIES, GOOGLE ANALYTICS, SOCIAL MEDIA BUTTONS AND LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
7.1 Cookies
The MELINDA website of the Radboudumc uses cookies to gain insight into the use of the website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer, tablet or telephone and sent back to the server during subsequent visits to the website. Cooking are stored when visiting the website and the Radboudumc can gain access to those cookies. Cookies cannot damage your computer, tablet or telephone or any files on it.
We use both our own cookies (first party cookies) and third-party cookies (for example YouTube or Vimeo, to make it possible to show (embedded) videos on our website). First party cookies are created by or for us, are placed by us on your computer, tablet or telephone. Only we have access to these cookies. Third-party cookies are created and placed by the third party and only the third party has access to those cookies. We do not control the content and functioning of third-party cookies and are not responsible for these cookies. Both first-party and third-party cookies can be placed temporarily or permanently on your computer, tablet or telephone.
7.2 Google Analytics
The  Radboudumc uses Google Analytics to learn more about the use of the website. Google Analytics places a permanent cookie on your computer, tablet or telephone. Data collected by the cookie are analyzed by Google and the results are made available to the Radboudumc. Based on these analyses, the Radboudumc can improve the website.
7.3 Social media buttons
The website does not have social media buttons.
